English Midterm Help. Please read details :)?
I need to know if there are any universal beliefs, values, and ethics in literature that are of interest or concern to all cultures and societies across time and how they influence behavior for my midterm. I need to be able to explain what it means, and use one example from these stories: Enuma Elish, Epic of Gilgamesh, Code of Hammurabi, The Upanishads, The Ramayana, and The Bhagavad Gita. I also need another example from the stories The Illiad, Julius Caesar, and The Aeneid.

Did you not read any of these texts? Because ALL of them would have been included in this semester/term's reading list because of the universal beliefs and ethics they communicate. Pick one from each category that you know well, and consider what values are represented. Honor? Justice? The immortality of the soul? Greed? Then do a little compare/contrast, like so:
2 unique facts about the Eastern epic, 2 or 3 things the East and West epics have in common, and 2 unique facts about the Western epic.
Write your midterm on what is alike and what is different between the two cultures.
