Depends on the time of year. Ice climbing in Maligne canyon, or a guided tour, or just sightseeing. Canoeing on the lakes. Horseback riding in Jasper. Driving the Icefields Parkway. Hiking up Parker Ridge to look at the glacier the other side (unless it's all melted; there used to be some nice morraines).
Visiting the Athabasca Glacier, maybe paying for the snocat tour.
A bit out of the way at Field, but the Burgess Shale fossil site is amazing (guided tours only, moderately strenuous hike).

The drive from Banff to Jasper is stunning.Calgary is not too far from Banff, and Heritage Park is amazing, and the Glenbow museum.Drumheller is quite a drive, but The Royal Tyrell has a great dinosaur exhibit.

Snowboarding in Lake Louise. Gondola in Banff. Hiking. Ice fishing. Watch the Flames. Lots of things actually.
