Just had a debate with my friend, I want your opinion on this?

My point -

If you are invisible and you cant see yourself, it will be hard to do things like

picking up stuff, running etc.

Imagine picking up an apple, if you cant see your hand, you wouldn't know where your hand is

going, so it will be hard to pick up that apple without failing like 2, 3 times

Now imagine you are in a room filled with glass, you cant see your leg so you would exactly know

where you are stepping, you will probably end up cutting yourself.

His point -

Exactly opposite of mine, you will still have your senses with the help of that you can just sense where

things are.

Update:

you wouldn't*

Update 2:

I am not saying that you cant, I am just saying that it would be very hard to do so.

When you are typing you have already touched your keyboard, I am saying that if you are not in contact with the object.

And if you are saying that you can walk, run without staring at your feet, I dont have anything against it, but what if there are like sharp objects on the ground, you will have to watch your step then.

blind people can't see their body parts & they manage just fine.

I type without looking at the keys or my hands. I walk & run without looking at my feet (I'm sure you do too)

so your argument doesn't hold water. you don't need to see your body parts to use them.

    edit:

you watch for sharp objects in the ground now. you're not going to be blind, you're invisible but you can still see. you can still feel your body. you feel where your hand ends even when you can't see it.

I type by touch, i don't even need to see the keyboard to know where my hands should go on it. but as I've said, I would be invisible not blind. I can see the keyboard now if I need to, I could still see the keyboard if I needed to while I were invisible. I don't need to see my hands to position them correctly or to type the correct keys.

your friend is still correct, you have all of your senses to rely on. you just can't see you (nor can anyone else). it won't be hard at all

We have proprioception, which means that we have an idea of where our body is in space without seeing it (try holding out one hand, and then closing your eyes and grabbing it with your other - you know where it is, even though you can't see it). It might be difficult to develop that skill if you were born invisible, I think, but if you suddenly became invisible I think you'd be able to get by.
