Health: water buckets filled often, buckets scrubbed out regularly, using good clean water from a well or treatment plant, not just creek water.
Wet hay with water to reduce dust for horses with COPD.
Wet hay for horses that colic.
Safety:
Keep feed bins locked up in a separate room from where horses can reach them, so horses cannot get in room and eat too much feed and colic.

1. Do not feed anything to anyone else's horse without permission.
2. Do not hand-feed treats to any horse without understanding the possible consequences.
3. If you offer the horse water and he refuses, he does not need water.
4. Don't get pushed around or stepped on.
5. Do not feed sweet feed simply because it is cheaper that anything else.
6. Know how to read horses.
7. Know how to get a condition score for a horse.
8. Know that uneaten hay is a sign that the horse is out of drinkable water.

Always water dusty hay as they can choke.
always make sure the water tank is clean
make sure to never put food in mud
know what is poisonous to horses
make sure to always close your feed bags properly to prevent mould
