What are some positive things we Non-JWs can say about Jehovah's Witnesses we know?

Update:

I have only experienced negative attitudes towards me and all those outside the Watchtower organization from JWs. JWs have no monopoly on damning all those who do not belong ( many Fundamentalist Protestants, for example never tire of telling us non-members that we are damned not for doing evil but for not believing what they believe) or for presenting what strikes me as an insulting version of God as 'murderously partial" ,to use Karen Armstrong's phrase, ( again not uncommon among FPs

Update 2:

yet, Jws share with other decent people a desire and will to be decent

and even though their ideology is far less than appreciative of others' differences from themselves

they advocate peaceful means of the spreading of their ideologies and organization rather than force

Jws have actually been martyrs to conscientious objection

Many of them are good, honest, sincere people. They are doing what they believe is right. They try to live by Bible standards and God's commands. That is all to be commended.

They've always been courteous and polite when I've invited them into my home to discuss the Bible. The hard part is explaining that I've been an atheist for fifty-five years and have no wish to become a Christian, that I'd rather burn in Christianity's imaginary Hell, than do anything to legitimize Christianity's ancient superstitious ignorance. I must say, when confronted with my intractable atheism, JWs are far more civilized than most other fundamentalist Christians.

    There more negatives than positives.

I have watched your behavior on here and you pick on them. So if you are having poor experiences with them, maybe you need to watch your own conduct and the tone you set your dealings with them. Just saying.

Yeah see I was one of those people as I am sure there are more that were 110% nice to JW. Coming on here showed me a different side to JW's. I was like no. They act like that. No but yeah they do. I shall not judge but I will not be gullible, blind, but I can be nice and not rude if it is reciprocated back to me even if my sound opinion is not agreed with no need to get mad or call names as some have been doing but I know not to blame all JW for the actions of active Jw members.

*Clears throat* "Vice Versa that's all"

Reminds me of ballet class were parents are like my child is the best kind of attitude but their child just isn't. You get what I am saying. Actions, words, and responses are noted and opinions will be formed.

JWs tend to have a lot of faith. JW's are Christians, because they believe Jesus is the Christ, Son of God, and Lord. JWs are very Bible based. JW's recognize the role of God and Jesus as our judge, and act accordingly. JW's tolerate a lot of verbal abuse in order to spread the Good News. If you were in Noah's time, and knew the flood was coming, would you keep the truth to yourself, or try to convince as many people as you could of what was going to happen in order to save their lives? Noah and his family were seen as crazy, but perhaps they still tried to warn others. This is what the JWs are doing. They are offering people a chance to save themselves because they know judgment is coming.

I can only speak from personal experience, but the JWs I have known have been wonderful people. A lovely woman I knew sent me a book on what various faiths believe which was quite instuctive and a lovely older woman my wife knew let us stay at her condo in Florida, despite my atheist views, which she did not have issue with.

So, nothing but positive experiences with JWs I have known. Experiences may differ online.

I know quite a lot of JWs and I would say the most positive thing is that they keep coming across Christians who try to explain the biblical gospel to them, and some are converted to Christ as a result. This shows that some of them are listening and thinking.

I know some ex-JWs who the Lord reached with the gospel, via various Christians, so this shows that God is doing a work of grace amongst them. That is why we need to keep praying for them, and to commend Christ to them.

They think they're doing good. I've been told that they think they are saving lives because they believe that anyone they don't convert will be destroyed by God at Armageddon.

I only know one JW in real life. He owns a house on our street and rents it out. He's very nice, but quite an odd duck as he goes to bars in town and sells trinkets and such. Things like small flashlights, etc.

we can thank God that not all Jehovah Witnesses believe the Jehovah Witness rubbish

They believe that all true Christian churches are of the devil.

They believe Jesus is not God, but is the Archangel Michael – the first being created by God.

They deny that God is a Trinity.

They believe Jesus died on a stake, rather than a cross.

They deny that Jesus rose bodily from the dead.

They believe the wrong teaching for the right reasons which is that they are seeking God. It is truly sad that they are so gullible to accept the Arian teaching that is fed to them because of their desire to follow Christ. We, as Christians must pray for them that they receive sufficient grace from God to escape from the Arian deception that has captured them in its lair. Unless they learn to believe in Christ truly then they have no eternal hope. God bless!

    In Christ
