Is 'Strong Nuclear Force' on Neutrons more, less or equal to that on Protons?

An equivalent force would imply that Neutrons are bound much more strongly since they have no Electrical field repulsion, however since Neutrons seem to be commonly ejected in Nuclear reactions it would seem they are bound less tightly than Protons.
