What is the universal definition of God?

If you were asked to provide a dictionary company with a "dictionary" definition of the word God, what would that be?

Also, are you defining a noun, verb, or something else?

Thank you very much in advance :)

Good morning, Sati. Happy to "see" a familiar "face" but I don't think there is a universal definition of a deity be it called god, God, Brahmin/Brahmana, or otherwise. I like to think of it as that which in innately inside all of us and guides us in a positive and constructive way.

"Dictionary companies" don't get definitions by just asking some random strangers on Yahoo. They hire expert lexicographers who use as much printed and spoken evidence as possible to find out what speakers of English mean when they use the word, and how they use it.

None of us has all that evidence, so none of us is qualified to write a dictionary definition.

Upper case God implies you are thinking of a specific religion or god. Lower case god is a generic term for supernatural being.

A dick who likes to fu$kup people's lives and turn life into a hell. He can twirl on my middle finger until he says he's sorry for punishing man and not satan who started it
