Imagine if Pacquaio switch places with Mayweather and he's undefeated and avoiding the fight. Would it make a difference?
Note: Their resume is still the same.
Only the record is switched but not the fighting style.

Manny will not be as big in the boxing world as he is today if they switch places. There are champions who were undefeated but needs recognition because of the lack of exposure. Let's admit that both fighters help it's other in popularity for being who and where they are, Floyd with his continues ducking of Manny Pacquiao and Manny for wanting a fight with the duck and his continues achievement. When they're done fighting, Floyd will be known because of his undefeated record if ever and most possibly for avoiding legit competitions like Manny Pacquiao and Manny on his journey from Flyweight to Middleweight and probably the ducking or the avoidance from a self proclaim TBE.

Naturally, the bashing will then switch to Pac for keeping his azz in hiding from Floyd.
It is impossible though. Pac's offense style of fighting is quite opposite to Floyd's defensive strategy. I can not imagine Floyd to be always on the attacks as he's not fond of taking risks.

It wouldn't make too much of a difference to be honest. People will still say that he's ducking Pac and it's up to him to make the fight. I almost forgot that he could no longer call himself TBE because his undefeated record will not be their. His marketing value would be diminished if that were to happen.

Yes, people would claim that Pac is a protected fighter and that Floyd would take him to school. Sure, people will still dislike Floyd, but they acknowledge that at least he took risks and has some losses. Pac, on the otherhand, didn't. His record would seem padded and be very questionable. He would be called a cherry picker, fraud, duck, and other names. People would also criticize Bob Arum, a lot more.

A ducker has no place in boxing, no matter who he is. And if it were Pacquiao ducking, you'll never hear the end of it from the sports writers and other boxers. I don't even think they will regard him in the best pound for pound fighter.

for me it depends on the situation. because if we say that they will change their position, how about their attitudes are we going to inlcude it in the changes? if so then manny will do so like mayweather and if not, really manny will go through that fight.
