I never saw it mentioned in the show, personally I think they maybe had an expanded-scene on the 'Detective-Test' which Shawn scored a 100 on, in mind, where he would have mentioned it(since in the trivia the 2 seem to be linked too), but since it's also not on the deleted-scenes of the DVD, I'm guessing it was something that never made it out of the writers-room.
