READ BOOKS on it yourself--THAT IS where the information is. After a few tens or hundreds of books on case histories and what IS known about it, you can become an EXPERT Paranormalist.
Also Study Science and Physics too, along with Psychology. So you can get insights into HOW some of it works and also so you do not get mislead by KNOWN phenomena, you are not aware of.
That is HOW you become a Paranormalist.---- Independent study of all the information in the field you can find--It can take years , and is ongoing.
I have been reading since 1969 on UFOs, Ghosts and ESP and other unexplained phenomena. Hearsay, myths, friends and movies are NOT good info sources. Hit the books. I am also a trained Scientist in my day job (Geologist) and also study Physics, Psychology on the side.. Even after a few books you can get the ability to cull the fake reports from the real ones, learning the patterns of the real things is a good first step.
ALSO be aware, that "Paranormal" has TWO branches---"The Scientific" dealing with Paranormal as the reality we do not understand YET and The "Folkloric", the study of traditional myths and "Truisms" associated with paranormal phenomena.----Specialize in one or the other, but be aware of the tenants of BOTH to a good degree,

I don't know of any high school but the University of Missouri in Columbia has a parapsycology class that prepares people to be paranormal investigators and how to help others who may display being sensitive to those energies.

I don't think high school offers any courses, however their are many colleges that involve paranormal studies. Harper college for example offers 8 different classes just on the paranormal, 2 on cemeteries and death, 2 on UFOs and 2 on Horror films, vampires and more!

Forensic Sciences cover the subject. And, that is what you would select as your Master Thesis, some incident that previously was left unexplained.

High schools won't offer that, and real colleges won't either. They won't treat is as fact, anyway. They might lump it in with drama or literature.

Yes maybe history might have some. I think you would enjoy learning about it in your spare time from our site from seekers doing spiritual practice.
