why wont he text back after 3 days?

tuesday was the first time i hungout with this guy alone. im starting to really like him. we hungout once before that but with other people. On tuesday i came over to his house and watched movies and he walked me more than half way home. as we were walking he asked me if I wanted to hangout again this week and i said yea. We havent kissed yet. the only physical contact weve had is hugs. i asked him wednesday and thursday if he wanted to hangout and i still havent heard from him and its friday. he responded one time to my friend but when i realized i was with my friend he stopped replying. why would he ask me to hangout again and then ignore me?
