When painting in photoshop when the strokes overlap they leave unattractive lines from bleed through how can I prevent this? on intuos pro?

When an image is pasted in on a layer and some of it erased in Get Paint it leaves a lot of marks along both sides of the image and all around it. All you can do is color select as much of it as you can and erase them too or use another layer to overpaint them.

That is just the characteristic of the paint brush. If you want consistent depth then you would have to use the pencil tool.
