You do not have to do anything for your Yahoo account to be deleted. Yahoo will deactivate any account that has not been logged into at least once in the last twelve months. Once the account has been deactivated, Yahoo will delete the account after a 90 day wait period. That means if you do not log in to your account again Yahoo will do all the work for you. Once you have completed this process Yahoo will delete your account after a 90 day waiting period. The waiting period is necessary so you can recover an account that was closed in error. Yahoo may or may not recycle your email address so be sure you do not need the email address for any reason before closing it.
