I would question the validity of your claim of a "bacterial infection". I assume your doctor does not think you have such an infection in which case refusing to prescribe an antibiotic is the right thing to do. To resolve the issue see an infection specialist.

Need more information about your illness. This is really a question that concerns the pathology of the organism you had cultured.

If you wish to pursue this, you may contact the Board of Medical Examiners for your state and make a formal complaint. The medical board will investigate. The chances are very good that this doctor already has this documented and you would loose, BIG TIME.

Not enough info: how do you know you have a serious bacterial infection? What tests have you had? What has been done already? You can always see another doc.
