Is it okay to give my P.E. teacher cupcakes and baked goods in exchange for an A?
I'm in highschool and I'm not doing well in P.E. My teacher grades on how much you can bench and how much you can increase each time. I actually try and its not like I sit in the corner of the weight room everyday. I can do squats pretty well and I always get a perfect score for participation but he 50% of my grade is based on the benchmax. I'm 70 pound I don't know how he expects me to do 60 in just a couple of weeks. When I ask him for extra credit, he asked if i could bake and i brought him a dozen home made cupcakes. I talked to him again today since grades are due for the semester and he said he would bump my C to an A. However, he also said something like he was expecting something next Friday. I am practically bribing him for my grade. Is this legal? And should I continue to make him things so I can get an A?

Assuming that he is not joking around, it is at the very least highly unethical and is most places would be illegal because it could/would be considered a bribe. Now and reasonable teacher would realize that they could get fired for this action and wouldn't risk it over some cupcakes.

Don't bring in the baked goods on Friday. Tell him how you don't think it's fair that you're baking things for him in exchange for an A. Just tell him things like that. "It's not fair to the other students." "I don't wanna pass this way." Weather or not you bring in the baked goods, talk to him about this.

No teacher will open themselves up to firing for a handful of cupcakes. No it isn't legal.

Briberly will usually get you NOWHERE! So do not bother. Put your effort into passing the test as it is instead of thinking of ways to cheat.
