Why is there lag on PS4 Online Multiplayer for me after getting fast internet?
Just upgraded our internet to a pretty good speed through mediacom and have a netgear gaming router. Loaded up advanced warfare online for ps4 to test the connection and there is definite lag still. I have a wired connection that says I m getting roughly 20mb/s download. The connection seems to be exactly the same when compared before. It's strange because I went over to a friends house who has a horrible setup getting 900kb/s and I can tell right away how much more easy it is to kill people online without lag. What gives?
Is it the router? The game?

P.s. its not lag where you glitch everywhere, but instead you know they have like a 0.5 second faster connection

Your upload speed is more important for online gaming than your download speed.
Also, the game only runs as fast as the slowest connection. So even if your connection is plenty fast, your partner's connection may not be, and could be causing the lag.

it could be which tower your connected to, I moved to this place and they promised good internet that was connected to a tower 500meters away, but instead they connected us to a tower like 5kms away and its terrible.
