what are the best amps/pedals for metal music?
mostly looking to play bands like Trivium, Stone Sour, Bullet for my Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Slipknot.....bands i grew up listening to, but would also like to venture into other genres.....hardcore punk, metalcore

Okay well idk if I'm reading correctly or if the last answer was just plain shitty?
Anyway, some good amps for that type of music are mesa boogies. Dual or triple watt. Verbally higher watt assuming you're looking for more power to crank it to get the metal sound. Also, marshall jcm 800's and 900's. There are also a high gain Orange amps that I think could cop those tones. Also laney amps!
