Remastered Vinyls vs. Originals?
So, I'm going to start a vinyl collection. A friend of mine told me that eBay is my best friend for hunting down old vinyl records. Then I ran into the problem of buying remastered versions or originals? What's your input on this? Is one particularly better than the other?
I'm going to be collecting old rock vinyls. So, would you prefer the 2011 remastered version of Dark Side of the Moon, or hearing one released in 1983?

DEFINITELY originals. Remasters perfect the sound of records, making them basically flawless, which, at least for me, defeats the purpose of vinyls. You get to hear all the imperfections. Originals are really just more special in my opinion. An original print from that year, that has probably been owned by multiple people and played hundreds of times. It's a cool feeling.

I like the sound of original recordings that have not been remastered. Of course, if you've never heard the original mix, you won't notice. But all the remasters I've heard just lose "something" that I loved in the original. there used to be editions of Albums using the original master disk. and not "copies" of it used in mass production. THOSE sounded awesome. All the magic of the original , but just a bit cleaner and more defined without messing with instrument levels and such.
For instance the Dark side album
