My dogs eat beef heart fairly regularly. Yes, its good for them. However, if your dog's not used to meat, he'll likely get the runs from it just like he would anything else you gave him that he's not used to, so not too much.

As with any organ meat, (raw) occasional feeding, 2-3 times a month is fine, mixed with regular food.

Casey's answer could not possibly be more ignorant. We're not talking about feeding a dog ice cream all day. we're talking about feeding them exactly what nature designed them to eat, and what they did eat, for thousands of years before kibble was invented

Then you should cook it and only add small portions to his meals here and there. You can cut it up and freeze it in small packages, then give it to him twice a week or so to see how he tolerates it. If it should give him diarrhea, or an upset stomach, then you'll know it is too rich for him. But small amounts mixed with his regular food should be okay,

no not if your dog is eating dry food... he will just get sick . you will not like cleaning that up when it comes back up
