How do I get rid of the "your personal vehicle has been destroyed" message in GTA V Online?

Every time I start a new session, when I walk out of my apartment that message shows up, but my car is always either parked across the street or in my garage. It has been destroyed a couple of times in the past so that's why the message keeps playing, but one would think it would only show up if I leave a session before getting a new one from the insurance company.
