delete messages in your inbox to free space?

Deleting email does not really free up much space. Mail is not stored in your computer. It is at the Yahoo server and you have 1 terabyte of storage. That will hold over 50 million emails.

Delete a single email from your message list.

1. Select the checkbox next to the message.

2. Click Delete.

OR

1. Click the email to view it.

2. Click Delete.

Deleting multiple emails in a list

1. Select the checkbox next to the emails you want to delete.

2. Click Delete.

Deleting all emails

In your Inbox, or other folder:

1. Scroll down to your email messages to load more than the initial 50 messages.

2. Select the checkbox to the left of "Delete" at the top of your message list.

3. Click Delete.

Deleting an email without opening it.

In your message list:

1. Mouse over an email.

2. Click the Trash icon that appears on that email.

Moving emails from your Trash

1. Click Trash in the Left Navigation column.

2. Select the checkbox next to the email(s) you want to move from your Trash folder.

3. Click Move.

4. Click a folder's name in the drop-down list.

Your emails move from your Trash to the selected folder.

Delete a single message

1. Open an email or select its checkbox.

2. Click Delete.

You can also click the Trash icon at the far right of the message to delete it.

Delete multiple emails in a list

When viewing a list of emails:

1. Select the checkboxes of the emails you want to delete.

2. Click Delete.

Important: Yahoo periodically removes emails from the Trash folder. Messages deleted from Trash can't be recovered.
