This might be more clear:
"I hope to see my mother again. I hope that what I'm experiencing right now isn't real, but just a terrible nightmare. I hope I'll wake to find she is still here."

I hope one day to see her again. I hope what I'm living now is not real, just a nightmare, and I will wake up and find my mother with me.
