Counting up numbers in a list?
I've got a list of about 1,000 numbers. How do I count up the total number of occurrences of each number? x number of 1's; y number of 2's; etc.
I figure there's probably a function in Excel, but I'm a complete neophyte when it comes to Excel.
Any help would be appreciated.

It's not technically what you were looking for, but it's a good start.

Cells A2 down are data list
B2 =COUNTIF(A:A,A2)
C2 =IF(COUNTIF($A$2:$A2,A2)>1,"",A2)
E2 =IF(ROWS($1:1)>COUNT(C:C),"", SMALL(C:C,ROWS($1:1)))
F2 =INDEX(B:B,MATCH(E2,E:E,0))
Copy B2:F2 down to match col A
