Sure, Kumho tires makes several decent budget priced tire models. However, as with any tiremaker, the quality comes down to the specific model not just the brand. Take a look at the specific Kumho model you are considering on tirerack.com to see how it has been rated and reviewed.

If the TIRE RACK will carry them, THEN THEY ARE GOOD TIRES! I personally have used them on a friends CHRYSLER PICK UP an they lasted a LONG TIME and were VERY QUIET and COMFY to ride on! KUMHO is a VERY good tire with GOOD ratings in tests! I TRUST THEM more than NAMELESS tires or NEW NAME tires found at PEP BOYS and other chain stores! KOREA can make things cHEAPER but they are STILL GREAT in testing!

a Korean tire company now operating out of California. They are very decent tires - I have had 80k miles on them before changing so yes, they will not 'splode on you like the Bridgestone/Firestone fiasco.

Standard fit after testing by some major car makers so guess they are.

They meet DOT standards, so they've passed the safety tests.
