can i use paypal without linking my bank?
my balance is not enough to cover an item i want to buy, but i have a debit card linked to my account.
I never linked my bank and i still get messages telling me to do so, but i would rather not. Can i still buy my item without my bank account linked to my paypal?
Will the money just be taken off my debit card?

Yes! If for example you want to make a $10 purchase but only have $5 in your account the PayPal system will use up the $% in your account and then take the rest from a back up funding source like a credit/debit card or bank account. A bank account is not required but they will continue to prompt for it in an attempt to make it easier for you to make payments.

Yeah, you don't have to add your checking account if you don't want to, but it's recommended if you are selling items ect.
