What to do with mistaken tax return filed?

I efiled tax return with husband I just realized I forgot click his name for a w2 I submitted and has as my w2 and irs has already accepted it. Will they catch it do I dodo.an amended?

    Yes the IRS will eventually catch that missing w-2 form for that purpose and time fill out the 1040X amended individual income tax return to correct the error on that original filled out and filed 2014 1040 FIT return.

    Go to the www.irs.gov website and use the search box for the 1040X and then choose the instructions (HTML)

    The IRS won't catch the missing W-2 for up to 18 months. You need to amend.

    If all the numbers are right, it won't change your tax - they'll catch it eventually but it won't be a problem.
