Sorry, no fakes intended. Just reporting what was posted on Facebook this morning. CBS/SHOWTIME reported it happening on May 2. I too have said for weeks, if not forever, I'm sick of the BS and will believe it when they touch gloves in the ring. I very seldom ask questions, just answer them , so the reference to me being a troll is farfetched.

Bill a troll......????
I would expect a little more respect for a senior top contributor...
Answer: My Mrs rang me at work about 3 weeks ago saying that the Mayweather / Pac was announced on some social network site somewhere.... It took me about thirty minutes of furious searching of the web to find it was a hoax.... I've seen a lot of others since then too (and on facebook as you state).
The only real announcement will be from Floyd own twitter account....
We live in hope.........................

Here is the problem. First, believe NOTHING until a date is actually set, which it hasn't been as of yet.
.
Those who believe Mayweather is afraid aren't seeing the big picture. I believe he is certainly leery of facing Pacquiao in the ring. However, his fear goes a bit further than that.
.
No one has taken self promotion as far as Mayweather has. It was brilliant and has earned him a lot of money, to the dismay of the rest of the 99% of boxers. However, when you promote yourself as high as he has, a fall from grace is far steeper than for anyone else. In plain English, the more of anything you have, the more you have to lose.
.
If Floyd loses this bout, he loses much more than a boxing match. In the eyes of some, he will never be given credit for his accomplishments. It's an obsession of his, similar to Marvin Hagler's obsession with Sugar Ray Leonard.
.
I think Hagler would have been more satisfied losing by knockout to Hearns than by the thinnest margin to Leonard. He said it himself, "Sugar Ray Leonard, of all people".
.
Mayweather's obsession with Pacquiao is very similar. Sure he wants to remain undefeated. But losing to Pacquiao would hurt more than losing to anyone else. That's a different kind of fear.

I think you misunderstood what they meant. If Floyd signs the contract, there will only be 1 main event that night [and that is Mayweather-Pacquiao]. Anything other than that will be moved.
Again, that is "IF" Floyd signs the paperwork. Which i don't think he will. Everyone has that "feel of urgency" from both camps and both TV Networks to make this fight happen except from 1 person. Floyd Mayweather. After Jamaica, he was in the All-Star game, then recently he was spotted playing ball with Chris Brown. F! F! F! F! Where is the urgency in that!!!!!!!!!

Yeah it's official that Floyd will fight on May 2nd but everyone knew that, just in case anyone got their hopes up no they didn't confirm anything about Pacquiao.
It should be announced very soon though.

Are you SURE???
If CBS have said it then it MUST be true as he is under their contract.
PS: Funny how we all know what you're talking about even though you've not mentioned any names lol
