The biggest thing is patience. You should be patient enough to kill your ego, & that makes you a hell lot approachable. Plus a funny personality, sense of humor..

A friendly smile, outgoing personality, not overly confident, not dressed to intimidate.

Smiles, keeps eye contact, sounds excited when they see someone or when the other person mentions something that can be interesting. Engages in conversations and is very understanding and does things like nods their head while listening.
