My new video card doesn't causes windows to crash after I install driver.?

Update:

My computer runs on a out of date windows 7 that was last updated in 2013, the video card works up until i install the driver then when the computer boots it makes it to the welcome screen and windows fails as the screen goes black. My computer is a inspirion 530 with a quad core 2.8 GHz, the motherboard is 7 years old, i can't update windows (for reasons) but i can buy a new windows disk if i need to. Is it worth it to buy the windows or is it probably my motherboard's old, the card: nvida 740

That is good, you really do not want it to crash the machine.
