What is wrong with my friend?

She has been unwell for a few weeks, fever, sleeping all the time etc. Yesterday she was admitted to hospital with a 40 degree temp, She is now hallucinating and imagining that everyone in the hospital ward is after her. Yesterday she was able to hold a conversation but was mildly distracted but now she is inconsolable. I am worried :-(

    Uh, she's getting treatment; I don't see what YOU can do that the professionals can't.

    High fever can cause hallucinations.

    If you want to know what is wrong, is there some reason you don't ask thepeople who are treating her?

    Maybe she has been taking some sort of drug? That can be a possibility..especially if she is hallucinating and has a high temp

    Might be delusions. She needs to see a psychiatrist.
