"Out of range" problem?

Hello,

Please answer my question if you have time.

I was looking for a solution of the "out of range" problem in one of the games I normally play.Instead of fixing it, I ended by changing monitor resolution and black screen showing exactly "out of range"!I am now in the safe mode, so can you tell me the best way to change it again?I can't do it in safe mode because the resolution there is different than the one in the normal mode.

Thank you.

Out of range is just that, the monitor cannot display with the settings you set.

Set back to regular 60Hz refresh rate, both in Safe mode, and then in regular Windows. Usually in safe mode, you can set the display to "safe mode" settings, and it should hold when you boot to regular Windows.. Then, set screen resolution to what your video card says it can run, not anything higher.

Most common out of range problem is too high a refresh rate. All monitors (in general) will take 60Hz.
