Why didn't women in old paintings have pubic hair?
I m doing a report on Francisco Goya and they say that he was the first painter to paint women with "pubic hair" which was barely any hair at all.

Maybe because women were considered to be "old maids" when they turned 18

it would have been considered bad taste. And it is also possible that they were emulating classical statues which have the same anatomical problem, if you look.
