Tire models vary greatly in quality, performance type, and cost. I assume you are looking at 225/60-17 sized tires for your '05 Town Car. If so, cost for tires for such an automobile range from $400 to nearly $1000 for a set of four, mounted and balanced. If you are being offered a high quality tire, such as the Michelin Premier A/S, $800 would then be a reasonable cost.

That sounds expensive. Should be around $600 including mounting (and I'm from Canada where tires are more expensive that the USA).
There are no special tires for Lincoln Town Cars.. most are high profile for the soft ride.

Depends on the tires.
Since there is effectively no profit margin left in tires anymore (the reason I got out of that side of the business) it is pretty much impossible to pay "too much".

Depends on the type of tire you are looking for. Look online for different options and compare. Then you can figure out what you need!
