PHYSICS HOMEWORK HELP: Centripetal Force?

A 1000-kg car takes a 90 degree turn (1/4 of a circle) with a radius of 3.0 m in 2.4 seconds. Calculate the speed, acceleration, and net force for the car.

Can you please show all formulas and steps required to solve this question, I have to solve others like this! Thank you!

    1. ( 2 * pi * 3.0 m * ( 90 deg / 360 deg) ) / 2.4sec = 1.9635 m / sec

    circumference * fraction of circle covered / time = magnitude of velocity = speed

    2. A = V^2 / R = (1.9635m/s)^2 / 3.0m = 1.28511 m / sec^2

    formula for acceleration in a circle

    3. F = MV^2/R = 1000 kg * 1.28511 = 1285.11 kg*m/s = 1.285*10^3 N

    centrifugal force

    these formulas are good to know and you'll use them a million times.

    speed of the car= distance travelled/time req

    = (1/4)*(2*pi*r)/2.4

    = 5*pi/8

    acceleration is the centripetal acc only coz no chnge in speed is given (or any such thing )

    so CP acc = (v square)/r = r*(w square)

    w= 2*pi*n=2*pi*(1/9.6)=2*pi/9.6

    ive taken 9.6 here coz 2.4*4=9.6 coz it takes 2.4 s to complete 1/4 th circle 9.6 s to complete the circle and hence 1/9.6 revolution per sec......

    so that is cp acc and mass multiplied by cp acc ull get cp force......

    i hope ive explained as much as possible
