Sims 3 Steam Installation Question!?
If I buy the Sims 3(one of the older versions) on steam, do I NEED Origin at all? Origin has always been a big trouble to use. It never allows me to go online, and when I tried to update it, it just brings me back to the login screen and says I'm offline. Because of this I want nothing to do with Origin. So if I purchase it on STEAM, do I need to Origin at all? Also, what would the CD key be for? Would I need Origin for that? Thanks in advance.
Cantra: Before, I did not need origin. However when i tried reinstalling, it required me to make an account on Origin, and didn't let me install it without it. I'm asking, if I purchased it on steam, because it is not a disc, would i still need to register it on Origin

Origin is not needed for The Sims 3 but you get a product code in case you want to add it there anyway.
