What weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of gold?
I recently talked to a geeky friend and they asked me the question. He said it was a weird answer.
I thought they were the same, and he said I was wrong.

Gold is measured in troy pounds, which consist of 12 troy ounces of 31.10 g each, or about 373 g per troy pound. Feathers are measured in avoirdupois pounds consisting of 16 avoirdupois ounces of 28.35 g each, or about 454 g.
So a pound of feathers weighs more than a pound of gold.

Somehow the answer is not totally certain.
For example, a pound of feather on top of Mt Everest
and a pound of gold below sea level.
