Agree because someone could "fake" that they are practicing a religion to get sympathy from the court (jury). Like I could walts in there with a hijab ha ha. Or even better dress like Jesus WHa HA HA! Trust me people would try it for sure.

It all comes down to what do you want "Other" people to get away with in your country, if there is someone that is pure bad (Maybe they eat people or kill people for the fun of it) do you want those people to have a convenience of saying a religion made them do it? THey could pretend to practice the religion and it also could give the religion a bad name...Meanwhile they get out free and become your neighbour.

It is all about getting an unbiased ruling to protect your country, people and religion.

You wish to be famous to change certain rules in a country you are migrated in. You have to think who you really are before disobeying the rules of the court. I hate those people who tried to do so with no respect with the rules of the court. It is so stupid for the people to say that it has to do with the violation of freedom of religion. Well, hello! we are talking about the attire here not religion. You are free to practice your religion even you are naked no one will object you.

110% Agree ! keep you religion at home and don't bring it with you in court.

Agree. If you're going to come to a Western country there are some sacrifices you're got to be willing to make.

Absolutely agree! We are subjected to their laws in their land, its the same principle that should be applied where ever one travels and/or decides to reside. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Just my opinion. Thanks for asking.
