Who has heard of a music genre called "Drum'n'Bass" or "Jungle"? If you have, name a song/ artist you know :)?

Yeah it's all drum'n'bass to me. I refuse to differentiate between Jungle and D'n'B.. I just think of jungle as old skool drum'n'bass. And no I'm not new.. been buying and playing records since 1993. The incessant need for so many "sub-genres" mystifies me.. there are not really any more styles around now than there were 15 years ago, just more labels for them. I prefer using adjectives, such as hard, smooth, melodic, funky, chilled, tearing.. anyway, it's all semantics! Just thought I'd pose the question on Yahoo and see how many people replied.. given the apparent US-centric leanings of Yahoo Answers, I'm guessing there won't be that many responders. ps. Mutant Jazz is one of my favourites... alof T-Power's stuff from the 90s is excellent.. timeless as it still sounds fresh today.. a hugely underrated artist!

I have, more of DnB, but I have a few oldskool jungle tunes~

some of my fave DnB artists:

    London Elektricity

    Brookes Brothers

    Matrix & Futurebound

    Mind Vortex

    Smooth

I have more faves in DnB's subgenres (such as jump-up, neurofunk/techstep, liquid funk/jazzstep, ragga dnb, etc) but that's another entire subject...

a few jungle tunes I like:

DLR & Mako - Your Mind

    Friction - Chimera

T-Power vs. MK Ultra - Mutant Jazz

but yeah I have a LOT more of a likeness to DnB and its subgenres~ :P

Source(s): <3 EDM. almost anything from DnB to House to Hardstyle + UK Hardcore to Eurodance to any Industrial + EBM genres~ :P
