What female names would be cute/a good idea to call myself?

I'm transsexual MtF, just starting to transition (no hormones, yet). I've always wanted my female name to be Cera, but since it rhymes with my sister's name, she's requested that I find something else.

Any suggestions? Something 'unique,' or not all that common.

If you really like Cera then you should use it, your sister shouldn't tell you not to.

Ask your mom what it would have been had you been declared female at birth.

A word of caution though: If you are going to transition, complete with a legal name change, then you probably don't want a unique or uncommon name. Most transgirls endevour to become "passable" or "blended" so as they can go through life without all the gawking or drama. If you picked an unusual name, then you might come under some additional and unwanted scrutiny. (Think drag-queen)

So save your unique or unusual name for a nick-name, and find a regular name that you can fall in love with for your legal one.

Um... well I know this girl and her name is a name of a country. And that got me to thinking Hawaii as a name would be cool. Or the name bay (bae) (That would be cute) a bit normally......Um shanay, or shelly. I'm not normal so I can't think me something. If I could Change my name it would be something weird.

Look through a Baby Names book, it will show you many girls names and explain if they have any meaning.
