What should I do to acquire this scholarship to University of Texas?

The scholarship is called the Forty Acres Scholarship, I believe, and it is a full ride to UT. Right now, my GPA is a 4.0 and I plan on keeping it there, but I don't know what else I need. It says I need community service, which I will be doing soon and leadership roles. What does that even mean? It would mean the world to me if anyone could help out. I can't afford UT but I really have to go

They rarely give scholarships to students who are not residents of Texas. Private schools are much more likely to give an international student scholarships than are state funded schools. Also, it is very difficult to get funding as a freshman. You are more apt to get a scholarship when you are a graduate student in a field that there is a lack of experience from ones who study it, here is some more info about UT scholarships - http://collegefinanceguide.blogspot.com/search/lab...

It means you need to work in positions as a leader. If you work on an executive council in your school, become club president or vice president, organize events, etc. They want to see that you're responsible enough to manage other people, not just yourself.

Leadership roles: captain of a team, president/VP of a club, TA for a class, etc.
