You are way behind the times. Psalm 83:18 has YHWH or Jehovah as the most popular.
Jesus is the Son of God, not Jehovah the Son.
N YOUR copy of the Bible, how is Psalm 83:18 translated? The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures renders this verse: “That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth.” A number of other Bible translations give similar renderings. However, many translations leave out the name Jehovah, replacing it with such titles as “Lord” or “Eternal.” What belongs in this verse? A title or the name Jehovah?
The Tetragrammaton—the way the divine name is written in Hebrew
God’s name in Hebrew letters
This verse speaks about a name. In the original Hebrew in which much of the Bible was written, a unique personal name appears here. It is spelled יהוה (YHWH) in Hebrew letters. In English, the common rendering of that name is “Jehovah.” Does that name occur in only one Bible verse? No. It appears in the original text of the Hebrew Scriptures nearly 7,000 times!
How important is God’s name? Consider the model prayer that Jesus Christ gave. It begins this way: “Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.” (Matthew 6:9) Later, Jesus prayed to God: “Father, glorify your name.” In response, God spoke from heaven, saying: “I both glorified it and will glorify it again.” (John 12:28) Clearly, God’s name is of the utmost importance. Why, then, have some translators left this name out of their translations of the Bible and replaced it with titles?

Lord means owner.
In the OT Jehovah had a people through the Abrahamic covenant. He was their owner. When Jesus died for our sins he purchased all who would follow him. (Romans 3:24) A study of Romans chapter 5 explains how Jesus became our Lord. I love to share vs. 10 which says "...we became reconciled to God through the death of his Son.. "
So when Trinitarians try to say Jesus is God, they totally disregard the scriptures. Jesus is our Lord, because he bought us through his ransom, but Jehovah is his Father and our Father and God.
1 Corinthians 8:5,6 "For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him"
Do you understand the difference of the words "for" and "through". We are Witnessed FOR Jehovah. We are Jehovah's servants through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Why through Jesus? Well, first Jehovah told us to at Matthew 17:5 "“This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved; listen to him.”
Secondly, Ephesians 1:22 points out that Jesus is head of the congregation, therefore, if we try to circumvent his authority, we are also trying to circumvent Jehovah's authority which would make us no better than Satan the Devil.
I sincerely hope this helps you understand the meaning of Lord better. You can easily find more help with this subject at wol.jw.org

We invite you to ask for a personal copy of our updated version of our bible and read what is said about the divine name.
Since most versions refuse to use our Creator's personal name and replace it with lord, it is not surprising that readers get confused!!!!

The King James Bible makes this differentiation:
"LORD" = Jehovah God, the Almighty;
"Lord" = Jesus Christ, son of Jehovah God.
The Catholic Bibles often translate both Jesus and Jehovah as 'Lord', making them *appear* to be one & the same, which they are not.
Jehovah's Witnesses use different spellings & pronunciations of God's name in different languages, depending on what is most widely accepted & used in them. In the English language, it is 'Jehovah'.
We choose not to switch God's name for a mere title, because Jesus made his Father's name known, and we are to do likewise.
Besides, it is very confusing to call both of them 'lord' all or most of the time . . .
For example, Mark 12:36 says:
". . . 'The Lord said to my Lord . . ."

I remember reading in my KJV while attending a Protestant church, and getting a headache trying to keep things straight, especially when reading that particular verse, but others as well. Using the same exact title --sometimes with & sometimes without the letters being all or partially capitalized-- has never been done except in Bibles that have mostly or altogether eliminated the use of God's name.

Greetings Jehovah’s Witness, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
I confess that Lord Jesus Christ is my Saviour and that the Bible is the word of God.
As Christians, we know that Lord Jesus wants us to abide in pure truth which sets us free as opposed to doctrines of demons and men’s imaginations which were designed to keep us in spiritual oppression and slavery. The Holy Spirit is here and very active on the earth as our Helper and He reveals the mysteries of the Biblical Scriptures to us all. We need to read for ourselves, ask the Holy Spirit and listen to His teaching.
The Holy Spirit is moving mightily during these last days, baptizing many with fire and empowering us with His much needed gifts for the edification of the Church. Only at the end of the Church Age will the gifts be discontinued (because at that time the Church will be perfected)… but during this time He is generously distributing them to Christians who are willing to work for God’s glory and as a Spirit-filled Christian I bear witness to this.
Some individuals like to predict the date of the Second Coming of Christ. For example, Charles T. Russell who established the Watchtower organization predicted that Christ would restore paradise by 1914 then shifted the date to 1915 and moved it again to 1918. The date was changed yet again to 1925 by Russell’s successor J. Rutherford. The Bible strictly warns us about false prophets (Mat 7:15, 2 Peter 2:1, Deut 18:20).
The founders of Jehovah's Witnesses were not only false prophets. They were also quite racist, preached racist doctrine, and enforced racist policies. Both Russell and Rutherford taught that black skin was a sign of the Biblical curse on Cain, blacks were inferior to whites and blacks were divinely ordained to be servants and slaves. In the early 20th century blacks were banned from preaching work (The Golden Age, July 24, 1929, Zion's Watch Tower 07/15 1902, Zion's Watch Tower 02/15 1904, Zion's Watch Tower 03/15 1900)!
As Christians it is VITAL to teach the correct identity and nature of the Lord Jesus Christ. If one preaches a different Jesus then they preach a different gospel and if they do not repent and preach the truth, they are destined for the Lake of Fire (Galatians 1:8).
Let’s look objectively at what the Bible teaches about the Lord Jesus Christ and see whether the Holy Trinity is scriptural or not. There is only one God (Isa 43:10-11; 44:6,8; 45:21-22; 46:9; John 17:3; 1 John 5:20-21). The Father (Jehovah) is God (1 Peter 1:2; Philippians 2:11), the Lord Jesus Christ is God (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1; 20:28; Hebrews 1:8; Hebrews 13:8; Revelation 1:7-8; 2 Peter 1:1; Titus 2:13) and the Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4; Acts 28:25-27; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 3:17). These Scriptures give crystal clear evidence of God’s tri-unity.
Almighty God was always triune (one God in three persons, not three gods). God is comprised of the Father, the Son (Lord Jesus) and the Holy Spirit, each serving a function. Jesus was not created - He always existed as part of God. Neither was the Holy Spirit created. Human beings and angels were created. The Lord Jesus was made flesh (in the Immaculate Conception) by God, so He (Jesus) could make the sacrifice for our sins. When Jesus was made flesh, He put aside His divine nature and humbled Himself as a servant (Philippians 2:5-11). During that time, the Father was in a greater position but position does not denote an inferior nature. We call Jesus of Nazareth the Only Son of God because God was His Father and not a human being. Jesus is God, Jesus is the Son of God and He is called the Holy One of God.
The Lord Jesus is eternal and uncreated (Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 7:3; Micah 5:2, John 1:1-3; 8:58; Colossians 1:15-19), He retained His deity while becoming a man (Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:19;2:9; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:3-8), He is equal in nature to God the Father (John 5:18; John 19:7) and He receives the same worship as God the Father (John 5:23; Hebrews 1:6; Revelation 5:11-14; John 14:14).
On pages 216-217 of the 1939 Watchtower book Salvation, the Society claimed that the Holy Spirit had been taken away in the year 1918. Another totally unbiblical claim is that only a chosen 144,000 persons who were living between Pentecost (c. AD 30) and 1935 will live in Heaven forever. The Watchtower states that only these are parties to the New Covenant and have the Lord Jesus Christ as their mediator.
The Bible teaches that ALL BELIEVERS will live together in the New Heaven and New Earth. When believers in Christ die they go immediately into Christ’s presence (Luke 23:43; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:21-24). ALL BELIEVERS FROM ALL AGES will be resurrected with immortal bodies like Christ’s (Romans 8:11, 1Corinthians 15:42-54; Philippians 3:21) and live together in the New Heaven and New Earth (Matthew 5:5; 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1). ALL BELIEVERS IN CHRIST will reign on the earth (Revelation 5:10). ALL OF THE REDEEMED will see God and Christ (Matthew 5:8; 1 John 3:2; Revelation 21:3-4). ALL BELIEVERS are in the New Covenant with Christ as their mediator (1 Timothy 2:5-6). ALL WHO HAVE FAITH IN CHRIST AS THEIR SAVIOUR AND LORD are already born again (1 Peter 1:3; 1 John 5:1) and are children of God (Romans 8:14-17; Galatians 4:4-6; John 1:12-13) and ALL BAPTIZED BELIEVERS are part of the church, the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13).
If you carefully read the Book of Revelation, you will see that the 144,000 of chapters 7 and 14 are sealed Jewish believers who will evangelize during the Tribulation. Email me (authorofdbd@gmail.com) for a copy of the Sequence of End-Time Events in Bible Prophecy.
The leaders of the Watchtower organization demand that you use only their Bible (the New World Translation) in which the word of God has been carefully altered to suit their beliefs and frankly, their agenda. In studying the Bible I use KJV and YLT Bibles as they are closest to the original Hebrew and Greek texts of the Bible. Ask any Bible scholar or do the research for yourself in regards to the deliberate alterations of the original Bible text in the NWT.
On the topic of blood transfusions and organ transplants, these life-saving procedures are not even close to the eating of blood or cannibalism since the organs and blood in these cases are neither digested nor metabolized.
The Watchtower also teaches that Christians should not take part in the systems of the world but this is not what the Bible teaches. Prominent Bible characters who were militarily and politically active are Daniel and his colleagues, the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8, the centurion in Matthew 8, Cornelius in Acts 10 and Erastus in Romans 16.
As Christians we must go to God through the Lord Jesus Christ our ultimate High Priest (Hebrews 6:20; 7:24) and not through any created being or organization. The Lord Jesus Christ wants you to be living a liberated and victorious life in Him. He does not want you to be under a wicked and deceitful organization that has on several occasions reversed itself on a number of doctrines and threaten to shun you if you use your God-given mind and dare do the right thing.
With Love in Christ,
Servant of the Lord Jesus Christ

Romans 10:9 [NWT]:
"For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved."
Rogerrrr, you say, "that means Jesus is Lord. and Lord is God," and then, based upon what that scripture actually says, proceed to say of JWs, "Changing words and deceiving many other scriptures."
Isn't that what you are demonstrably guilty of doing with that scripture?
Who does it say raised up Jesus from the dead? It says God, does it not? But you have just said that "Jesus is Lord. and Lord is God."
Leaving aside for a moment the fact that "Lord" is merely a title, which even Sarah, out of respect, called her husband Abraham [1 Peter 3:6], if Jesus is God, then you are effectively distorting Romans 10:9 to be understood as:
"For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that he raised himself up from the dead, you will be saved."
But it doesn't say that - AT ALL. It shows that Jesus was raised up from the dead by God.
You see, Rogerrrr, what you don't seem to appreciate is that the provisions [rules] of sin atoning sacrifices that God established with the Israelites required that Jesus had to die. Now if one is dead, they cannot resurrect themselves. And if a part of him was not really dead, then that makes that sin atoning sacrifice void, useless, of no value.
So, rather than distort that scripture in the manner that you are here doing, what does it ACTUALLY SAY, again?
"For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved."
It says, " God raised him up from the dead," NOT that he raised himself up from the dead.
The simple fact is, Rogerrrr, that many Bible versions today have REMOVED God's personal name.
Let me demonstrate to you just how badly they have done so.
Note first of all what it says At Exodus 20:7 in the American Standard Version (ASV), printed in 1901:
"Thou shalt not take the name of Jehovah thy God in vain; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain."
"Jehovah" is the common form of God's personal name as it is expressed in English ["Yahweh" is a common form of his name in Latinized Hebrew].
In the original Hebrew texts [the OT] God's personal name appears [as the tetragrammaton] as "יהוה"
It appears a whopping 6,972 times in the OT!!
Does that sound to you like God doesn't want people to know his name?
Would it seem to you that REMOVING God's personal name from the Bible would be treating it in a worthless way, which is what "vain" means in that scripture at Exodus 20:7?
Note how many times his name appears in the Bible books specifically dealing with the Mosaic law that the Israelites were to adhere to:
Exodus: 435 times
Leviticus: 320 times
Numbers: 406 times
Deuteronomy: 565 times
That is a total of 1,726 [one thousand seven hundred and twenty six] times.
Why would God's personal name appear that many times just in those 4 books if God did not want his name to be used?
Why does God himself say at Exodus 20:1-3 at the very start of his commandments to Moses:
"And God proceeded to speak all these words, saying: 2 “I am Jehovah [Yahweh] your God, who have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves. 3 You must not have any other gods against my face."
Why did he specifically use his personal name there if he intended that the Jews cease using it?
Why did Jesus encourage his followers at Matthew 6:9 to pray [KJV]: "Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy NAME"?
How can you hallow [revere, sanctify, hold up as special; holy] someone's name if you either don't use that name or refuse to accept that name?
Rogerrrr, according to what the Bible itself actually says, I have to wonder if YOUR Bible honors God's personal name, as Jesus said should be done.
Does YOUR Bible version contain God's personal name 6,972 times, or has it substituted his personal name with the title "LORD" which title is used for many nobles and kings on earth, including in the Bible itself? [see , for example 1 Kings 1:1,2; Daniel 1:10]].
If so, you should ask why they have REMOVED God's name, thereby transgressing Jesus' words at Matthew 6:9.
You think about that, Rogerrrr.
