What is the best way to handle this?
I think that I might possibly like a girl that I had one class with last year. The "problem" is she's an "atheist" and I come from a very religious family. I want to establish an actual relationship with her,but then I would feel as though I betrayed my folks. A few friends said that it wouldn't be a problem,but I don't really know. Can someone please help me? Thank you.

Well first of all how old are you two? I am going to assume you guys are teenagers and really teenagers think they know everything and people change over time so I would just take her thoughts as a phase and move on with her if I really liked her. If she starts talking about this and that just nod your head and change the subject she obviously has issues for her to make that assumption and has not even lived life yet. If she is trying to change your opinons then that is when you have a problem.
