Help, my dog just tried to eat cat poop?

Question

This isn't a troll question, this really happened. I just saw my dog walk out of the bathroom (where the litter box was) and he had some poop in his mouth and put it on the floor.
He had food and water, so I'm a little confused...

Dogs LOVE cat poop but it is bad for them. You will have to set the cat pan up so that the dog can't get to it. One way is to put the pan in a large plastic blanket box. Cut a hole for the cat to enter and exit through on one end of the lid and put the litter pan at the opposite end. Close the lid.

Most dogs love eating cat poop.  Move the litter box to where the dog can't reach it.

My dog does the same thing. Dogs are just gross. Try putting in a cat door and close the door. If you can t do that then make sure to correct his behavior and tell him he was bad,

When animals are stressed or sick they try to regurgitating probiotics/ positive bacteria. But your dog can get sick with cocci.
