It's a single player mmo in my opinion, you have classes ( both fighting and crafting ) but you aren't limited to just one. You can level up a ton of skills and put attribute points towards different stats. Also you can have pets and a home.
It's a fun and addictive game with a quirky story to add onto it. You can continue on after the story as well, and it has a $15 dlc that you can get through the store. Which adds an extra area, more items, and 2 more pet types.
