I think the VA doctors killed my Grandfather!!!?
My Grandfather has been having a lot of problems with swelling and his blood pressure. He's been going to the hospital and clinic a lot and recently he was admitted in the ICU for very high blood pressure. The doctors prescribed him Coumidin and lovekox together which are blood thinners that have an extreme reaction together. My Grandfather passed away last night due to massive internal bleeding. I think the VA killed my Grandfather because doctors don't usually prescribe blood thinners for high blood pressure do they? Please give me your thoughts and help me figure this out.

It is very hard to know what else was wrong with your grandfather. No, they normally do not give blood thinners for hypertension, but they normally do not admit to the ICU for blood pressure either - so it is very likely there was some sort of heart issue that went along with his blood pressure problems that they would prescribe blood thinners for. The fact that he also had swelling problems suggests this.
Are you sure that 'lovekok' isn't lasix? Lovenox is a blood thinner, but lasix is a diuretic that would try to help get the swelling down and reduce some of the fluid he's retaining.
I'm sorry your grandfather died. It sounds like he was very ill, so it's hard to know exactly what is going on with what you wrote.

No one can give you any insight here because no one can look at his records and see what was going on. People in the ICU are very sick so there are usually a lot of issues. They gave him thinners for a reason, but that is unknown. You should either have a conference with his docs to get answers/closure or with the family member that was "in charge". My Sympathies to you and your familty.

At high doses, fish oil can cause an increased risk of bleeding, especially if you are also taking blood thinners such as warfarin (Coumadin), clopidogrel (Plavix), or daily aspirin.
