Why are my old answers reported?

Update:

this latest attack is towards any answer that has a link to the government sponsored site that allows you to pull your credit reports for free. (annual credit report dot com)

    People have nothing better to do. I have constantly recommended that after a certain period of time questions can still be reported but with no negative effect or point loss.

    I have actually had YAHOO violate an old answer that contained their own support phone number since you are no longer allowed to post the number due to spam.

    This seems to be a tactic of some Site Police, to go back in time and report questions or answers they consider "violations." Reporting enhances their "trusted member of the community status" while overturned reports will diminish it. They probably figure that old questions or answers have a good chance of belonging to people no longer active on Y!A, and thus have little chance of being appealed or overturned.
