Nixon was able to stop the clock adjustment for four years because of an energy crisis. That worked for me.

All of the Caribbean don't use it, some States now do not recognize it. Maybe 50 years ago this was applicable when you only have 1 clock in the house and had a farm to work. Hell we have 5 clocks in the kitchen alone. Enough is enough with this twice a year tomfoolery.
Maybe the Feds should step in and end this in one vote.
I think you're all missing the point, don't care about incandescent lights, we now have LED's, Canada has no bearing on our time zones, Leave the time to Standard for the extra hour in the summer, yes it did have something to do with farming, and how many do you know, guess what few are left they will have to get over it.

Actually, the original use was to save energy from the then-new incandescent lighting:
