UGhh, me too, i cant stop thinking of my problrm. But I cant sleep cuz i keep thinking bout ghosts that r in my houese and stuff im rlly paranoid. Here are some tips
Tip 1
Listen to calming music. Get a CD you really like, or burn one off a play list. Play it on "repeat all" and it should help you a lot. The music should be anything that relaxes you, and makes you feel comfortable and happy.
You can also try using a stereo that has a radio in it to listen to music. As you listen, make stories out of the lyrics in your head, it will distract you enough for you to fall asleep.
Play a soft tune with headphones or ear buds. This can help keep out any noise and help you fall asleep faster. Alternatively, try singing a happy song to yourself.
Perform a Water Fast Tip 2
Meditate before bed. Try adding a brief session of meditation, stretching, or yoga to your bedtime-preparation routine.
You can find free guided meditation podcasts and relaxing yoga routines online. Even something as simple as breathing deeply while listening to calming music can help put your mind more at ease. Take a number of nice, easy breaths and you'll soon feel more relaxed.
You could also try doing some exercise before bed -- exercising helps most people as it squeezes out all of your energy and helps you to fall asleep quickly.
Tip 3:
Don't go to bed with a head full of worries. Are you afraid of monsters in the closet or are you thinking about everything that must be done tomorrow?
If it is the latter, try making a list of what needs to be done the following day. Review your list before bedtime then forget about it!
This will add structure to your life and ease some of the worry. Tomorrow is another day!
Tip 4:
Use technology. Distract yourself not only with happy thoughts, but technology! When you're watching a movie (obviously not a scary or sad one) you are much more positive.
Things like iPhone games, online videos and websites also offer great escapism. You can also control technology to certain extent, and we feel safer when we're in a position of control.
However, you should avoid playing scary video games right before bed. Just like scary TV shows or movies, scary video games can also make it hard for you to sleep at night.

Tip 5
Watch something that makes you smile. Before bed, try watching funny, lighthearted, and happy shows or movies. Anything scary, like a detective show or thriller will only spook you further.
Above all, avoid watching scary films immediately before bed. These will certainly put you on edge. And if you do accidentally watch scary films, try to turn it around; for example, if you live in USA say: "it'll only happen if you live in England" or another country, thus hopefully making you feel more relaxed.
You should avoid going to sleep with the TV on and instead, stay up reading or doing something else that doesn't involve electronics for the last half hour before bed. This will help you calm down instead of going to bed with an overstimulated mind.
Tip 6
Look at websites that make you laugh before bed. Once again, happy, calming thoughts are the first defense against the intruding, scary ones, so find a source of these.
Sites like Cute Overload, I Can Has Cheezburger?, and Daily Puppy work wonders. However, you should avoid making random searches on Google at night, as you might find something that will scare you. The same goes for looking at random videos on YouTube, unless you are certain of their content.
Start a Tumblr blog and fill it with happy and inspiring things that will calm you down. Pictures, music, videos, quotes and stories that you like can help as you drift off to sleep.
Tip 7
Pray. Talking to the Boss is really comforting, you can even try laughing at yourself. You can say "how silly you must think me for being afraid".
It might sound odd to laugh when you are scared, but forcing yourself to laugh will help some of the tensions.
You can also pray for relief from your fears. Your fears may not be real, but knowing that you've got your faith on your side is a huge help! Reading your favorite Bible passages will help too (if you are Christian).
Tip 8:
Go to other people for comfort. Sometimes feeling isolated from the rest of the world at night is what augments the scary feelings. (For some people, this is why leaving the TV or radio on as they fall asleep is helpful.)
Try leaving your cell phone on and within close reach for reassurance, "just in case". Have the number of a friend who stays up late or doesn't mind waking up to talk to you until you're calm
Spend time with your roommates, if you have any. It helps if you have a couple of roommates who don't mind staying late. Ask them if they can stay up until you doze off. If they understand your fear of the night, they'll be willing to help you out.
If you get super scared ask your parents if you could sleep in their bed. If they refuse maybe ask to sleep on their floor. (Not if you are old enough to make it embarrassing!) You can also try sleeping in the same room as a sibling.
Method 2 of 3: Making Your Room Less Scary
Use a night light. Use one that is disguised (if you are older). Try to get a cool-looking light, like a lava lamp, so other people won't even realize what it is!
If you don't want to use a night light, try not to run to your bed when turning off the lights. It'll only make your heart beat go up and make you more scared.
By running for no reason, your brain triggers the fight or flight reaction, therefor making your brain think you were/are in danger.

2Cuddle up with your pet. A cat to snuggle around your feet, a giant dog to protect you, or even the soothing sounds of a fish filter or a hamster wheel can be a big comfort when you're scared at night.

3Avoid scary parts of your room. You may be accustomed to staring at a certain scary spot in your room, e.g. out of the door and into the dark hallway, to search it for monsters.
Move your bed so that looking out the door is impossible, or close the door to eliminate any light that could cause scary shadows to form.
This may seem like it would make you more anxious about what's out there, but actually it simply removes the scary stimulus so you don't even think about it. More here
Hope this helps~

Okay, okay first off, can I just say your lucky...I haven't been scared of horror movies since I was six... I want to be scared of them though...
Anyway...
1.close your eyes
2.think of some place happy, for example a garden with a pond where special fish live and where only the most magical of birds sing in the trees, where there are lollypops for flowers, where the fruits that grew in the trees were toffee apples, gumdrops and fruit pastels and the dirt was chocolate cookie crumble and the grass tasted of mint and the rocks were oreos...
Okay, I think you get the picture
3.keep thinking of what to add in your happy place like muffins...
4.rest...
5. Hopefully I worked because you would have stopped thinking about the scary movie...
Let me know in the comments...

Most sleeping problems are probably caused by stress, depression, anxiety, nervousness and worry as well as being too keyed up.
Sleeping pills are unhealthy and can give you bad side effects such as headaches and drowsiness during the day so you are better off without them.
To sleep better just relax and switch off, if you can.
If you are having trouble switching off at bedtime some light exercise (for example, push ups or sit ups) at bedtime often helps you to relax, unwind and switch off and that often improves your sleep. Strenuous exercise at bedtime is likely to ruin your sleep.
Common OTC sleep aids include Chamomile tea, 5-HTP, Melatonin and Valerian Root.
Sleep enhancing foods include warm milk, turkey, cherries, oatmeal, bananas and wine.

Thought stopping is your friend here. Do an activity that will clear your mind of negative thought. Like reading or watching something fun that isn't scary or thought provoking for instance. Talking about your fears to someone you trust who won't mock or judge you might help too.

if I watch something scary before bed, I usually watch something funny right before I go to sleep or listen to music. just do something that takes your mind off of the movie so you wont be thinking about it while you try to sleep.

Watch a few cheerful movies, or ones that have a happy ending. Sort of do a mental "tape over" of the horror movie. In future, if you want to watch a horror movie, watch a happy movie after it to dull the scariness.
