Does anyone have experience purchasing from Guitar Center or Musician's Friend online?

About to buy a bass, both sites have it for the same price, curious if anyone has experience with either of these companies.

They're sister companies under the same ownership, ultimately. Their prices and much of their inventory are the same as far as I can tell, and I'm sure the shipping charges will be also, since otherwise they'd be competing with themselves. (Don't ask me why they do online sales at both places; seems like duplication of effort, but evidently it works for them.) Both are considered reputable places to buy.

However, instruments should always be purchased in person if at all possible. Every individual one will be slightly different in how it plays. By buying at the brick and mortar Guitar Center, or another guitar store, you'll have the chance to try the instrument out and negotiate any necessary setup work.

Yeah, I've purchased instruments from Musician's friend and had no problems at all.

You're fine with either one. Both are reputable places to buy from. No issues either way. Maybe you'll save on shipping with one?
