My Macbook Pro won't let me sign in to the App Store?

I'm trying to download OS X Yosemite. I pressed "get", put in all my log in information, and now it's been loading for about 5 minutes. It won't actually sign me in. What is happening and how do I fix it?

    They have been having problems with the App Stores all day. They are fixing it. You can check the status here...

    Ro restart your computer after opening disk utility and very disk utility
